✔️ Perfect for realistic dioramas
Hans-Joachim Marseille (1919–1942), also known as the "Star of Africa", was one of the most successful German fighter aces of World War II. With 158 confirmed aerial victories, predominantly achieved over North Africa, he is considered one of the most outstanding pilots of the Luftwaffe.
Marseille distinguished himself through exceptional flying skills, precise shooting technique, and an unconventional flying style. He mainly flew the Messerschmitt Bf 109 and received multiple awards for his achievements, including the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds.
On September 30, 1942, Hans-Joachim Marseille died at the age of only 22 in a flying accident after being forced to abandon his damaged aircraft.
