Welcome to the steves.minis blog!
This is all about my passion for plastic model building – from airplanes to historical models, small dioramas, and miniature-scale projects.
In addition to my shop, I also want to offer an insight into my own hobby here. Model building has been with me for a long time, and every finished model tells its own little story to me. These are the projects I want to share with you here.
Build Reports and Model Building Projects
A large part of this blog will consist of build reports of my models.
For every model that lands on my workbench, there will be its own post. I'll take you step-by-step through the process – from the first parts on the sprue to the finished model in the display case.
Depending on the project, you'll find, for example:
- Impressions of various model kits
- Build progress during assembly
- Details on painting and weathering
- Photos of the finished models
Over time, this will create a small collection of my model building projects, which may also provide inspiration or helpful ideas for your own builds.
Plastic Model Building – A Hobby with Character
For me, plastic model building is more than just a pastime.
From many small plastic parts, something new gradually emerges – an airplane, a vehicle, or a scene from history or fantasy. This precise mix of technology, patience, creativity, and detailed work is what makes this hobby so appealing.
And of course, sometimes not everything goes perfectly during the build – such experiences are also part of it and will find their place here.
The Start of This Blog
This post is the beginning of the blog. The next articles will feature the first build reports of my models, which I will publish here gradually.
If plastic model building, model kits, and model building projects inspire you as much as they inspire me, feel free to stop by often.
Perhaps you'll find inspiration for your next model here.
Happy modeling!
Regards, Stefan
