Build Report - ICM Black Hawk in 1/48

My second build report, which was published in Modellbau Panorama, and once again, a huge thank you to ICM for the review sample!

The ICM 48362 model kit depicts the UH-60A Black Hawk in 1:48 scale, as used by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

This helicopter was first sighted in Ukraine in February 2023 and is characterized by a special blue-black paint scheme with Ukrainian insignia. In spring 2024, the unit received another UH-60A in standard olive green livery.

For modelers interested in modern military aviation and current operational scenarios, the ICM 48362 kit offers an authentic and detailed replica of this versatile helicopter. The model consists of 256 parts and allows for the construction of both marking variants mentioned above. The detailed replication includes both the cockpit and the cargo bay.

The casting quality and level of detail of the parts are wonderful! This gives the model a great overall impression – whether it's the rivets on the sheet metal or the wafer-thin rotor blades. The decals are very nicely printed, perhaps a little too translucent for the dark background, but it's not noticeable!

The dimensions of the finished model are 414 mm in length and 111 mm in width. ICM has also published a video with detailed building instructions, which is available on their website. The packaging can be described as adequate; it would have been desirable if the clear parts hadn't just been packed in a plastic bag.

Conclusion:

Another flawless and beautiful kit in the usual ICM quality for all helicopter fans. I would buy it again and build the second version!
